What is the CDM Wizard and how do I use it?

CDM Wizard has been designed to be simple to use and fully complies with the CDM2015 regulations.

It's been designed to make your life easier and reduce the burden of producing Construction Phase Plans for domestic construction projects.

For the new version of the CDM wizard you are required to create an account. This is a brand new account, not one you would have used before. The benefits of using an account are that whether you sign on using the Desktop version at, the Android app or the iOS app (coming soon), all your plans will be available to you.

Once you've opened the app, simply complete the questioning put to you.  Some fields require you to give an answer.  All your answers will feature on the CDM Action Plan that is produced at the end of the questioning. It advises you of any risks you should consider when completing the job in question.

The report will also detail who is the Principal Contractor, the person in overall control of the job.  Other questioning will help you define any significant dates relating to the job, and any communication plan you might have if you are dealing with multiple people on site.

Once you have completed the report, you are able to view the report in PDF format which can then be saved to your system, emailed or printed. You are also able to now edit previous plans, meaning no more starting from scratch when trying to amend a plan.

The report should be used as a guide to assist you in understanding the risks that may be involved in your project.  It is not exhaustive and you, or the Principal Contractor, will be wholly responsible for health and safety on site.
